Culturally responsive self-efficacy of mathematics teachers: Input for self-efficacy building enhancement

The Philippines is a multicultural society with diverse cultures and beliefs for each indigenous community. This study was designed to determine the level of culturally responsive teaching self-efficacy (CRTSE) mathematics teachers propose training design. utilized an explanatory sequential research design using survey focus-grouped discussion participated by 65 in-service teachers. Based on result, teachers' overall efficacy in pedagogy (CRP) very high. It also found that teachers’ implementation CRP influences includes use native language contextualized localized examples. recommended may adopt pedagogies their respective classes consider examples provide meaningful teaching-learning experience. Keywords: Culturally teaching; pedagogy; mother tongue instruction; self-efficacy.
